Please Pray for My Son

Post by Saved4Life »

On Monday, Sept. 15th, my #1 son, SSGT. Stephen Feldhaus, US ARMY, is being deployed to Iraq.  He's been in the Army since 4 months after he graduated from High School in 1990.  I've been through many deployments in his almost 18 years serving our country.  It doesn't get any easier each time.  This time he leaves behind at home his wife Kristene, daughter Isabelle (4), and son Jacob (20 months).

Actually both my sons are active military, #2 son Chris has been in the US Air Force for almost 10 years now, but he's currently in the USA.

I will greatly appreciate everyone who will please join me in praying for Steve's protection while he is deployed, and his safe return 12-14 months from now.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Absolutely!!!

Would you also possibly be interested in people joining up to send him care packages? I would be happy to be the first to jump on the care package bandwagon, if you think he wouldn't mind receiving them from someone he doesn't know. While we don't have anyone actively in the military now, both my brother and my Grandfather served. (my grandfather for many years!)

Any way that I can support our troops, I would love to be a part of.  *love*

Y'all are too much...you are going to make me cry tears if joy!

I would love that very much.  As soon as I get his address over there, I'll post it.  Steve is a man of Faith, and he promised me he would pack his special "Soldier's Bible" we got him for Christmas last year.  He would appreciate being thought of - no matter if he knows them or not!

Thank you all so much, this really means SO MUCH to me - I love you guys *love*

i didn't see this yesterday, doreen.............i'm going to ask my father to pray for your son....i don't like to give him too much to pray for since he's been sick(he's 87).....he's a prayer warrior and when he prays things happen...he also is like a dog with a bone in the persistence of his prayers....he was a soldier during the second world war and and definitely has a strong burden for our soldiers......a couple of years ago, i had him praying for my friend's son who was stationed in iraq and that guy came home MONTHS earlier than he was supposed to and they didn't make him go back.............when i speak to my father, i'll ask him also to pray..........praying for soldiers is my own burden also...it's our way of honoring the soldiers that protect us(even if it IS on foreign soil)...and praying for a particular one instead of just generally really blesses me....at church, we put a big package together for like a dozen soldiers....................
AND he loves the Lord.........i'll pray not only that God protects him but USES him mightily.................love,niki

Hi Doreen,
I was just thinking of you and wondered how your son is doing?  Praying all is well.

Thanks, Kris for asking...so far so good.  I was home last Friday and I was catching up on some housework...while I was vacuuming, Steve called and I missed the call because I didn't hear the phone over the vacuum cleaner.

When I realized I had a voice mail and it was him....I just sat down on the porch and cried!  It was wonderful to hear his voice though, even if just on voice mail.

I will put your son's and their familes on our prayer line at church.

My son-in-law is a 1SG with SF at Fort Campbell, and my husband is retired MI.  I know what you are going through we will pray.

We also would be happy to send him a care package.

We're also adding your son to our prayer list.  You might know that my husband is a retired army general (but not US Army)...although that doesn't matter...he knows how important military service is and how difficult it can be.  He was a sniper and, well, you can imagine what he was called on to do...(YIPES!) My husband served in 5 wars and thank God, survived physically and mentally and spiritually.  We'll be praying for the same result for your son.

Let me extend my heartfelt thanks to your son for providing this important service to our wonderful country, to safeguard our freedoms and to keep the fight away from our shores.  He, along with all the others who are serving in every branch of our military, are true HEROES! We can never thank them enough...the very least we can do is remember them in our prayers...

i've been wanting to send a salami over to one our our troops.  I went to Katz deli to get my dad a pastrami sandwich a couple of months ago and i saw they would "ship a salami (all beef - kosher, of course) to our boy in the army"  So, please do let us know of his address the moment to have it!

God bless..

Our little town in Kentucky just buried the first soldier killed in Iraq from here.  Thousands, literally, came out to honor him. Sixty-eight Army Rangers (Patrick was a Ranger) came here from the front just to take part in his funeral and to be there when their "brother" was buried. They went right back to Iraq afterwards.  The families of all these Rangers came here to see them and spend some time with them before they returned, so our town was overflowing.  We had a special ceremony the day after the funeral to honor the Rangers. It was a very moving time. May God bless and protect every U.S. service person, no matter where they are on the globe.

I will join the prayer team for your son. I have recently felt led to pray particularly
for our soldiers, If and when we get a care package going, I will help with that, too.

I will also join the others in praying for your son Doreen.  I can't imagine what a burden it would be having a son in Iraq.  I'm glad you get to hear his voice once in awhile in a phone conversation.  God bless.
