Tracy's Journal

Post by sugarbeartf »

Well, I thought it was time to start my journal. I will actually start it tomorrow. I will try to post every day what I eat. I think I did okay tonight at the wedding reception I went to. I ate lots of fruit and smoothies before I went. Then, I ate some salad, not alot because there was dressing already on it, corn, greenbeans, radish, cauliflower, carrots, and fried chicken breast. I took off the skin as best I could. I did not drink anything though.  :'( I did not bring any water, and they only had beer and soda. I was hoping for ice tea. I was getting pretty thirsty. So, I managed. I will start my journal tomorrow. :)

Tracy,

Great Start!  You'll find the journal really helps.  And it is nice having "food police", just in case you don't notice you've been sidetracked.

LOL. Watch out for the food police. I am not having a hard time with this at all. I stick with the LDL foods. I have not strayed once so far. Not saying I never will, but I hope not.   Now today I am taking my son shopping for pants, he is growing like a weed and I can't keep him clothed. (haha) I'm sure he will want to eat out somewhere, so I will have to make good choices. I will post later and let everyone know my day.

Thanks,
Tracy

LOL Tracy - I always use Gwennaford whenever I need a screen name - for the same reason.  I hate it when I mis-type it and spell it wrong 'cause then I can never get back in there!

You are doing so great with your menus.  Don't forget to do the same thing with your BBQ sauce that you do with salad dressing - choose one without sugar and then just dip in your fork tines (not the food) with every bite.

You can change or update your posted messages whenever you like by clicking on "Modify" in the upper right corner of the post you want to change.  See it up there on the subject line?

Loves, Gwen

LOL. Thanks Gwen. Yea, I see the modify and I will try that next time. I went out to eat at lunch time today with my son, the bbq sauce had some sugar in it, but I did not use much. Its harder when you eat out than at home, but I think I did okay. I haven't tried all the recipes yet, but I've liked everything so far. I made the beef tamalie pie tonight for my lunch tomorrow. My husband had it tonight and said it was good. So I can't wait.

Hi Judie, got up later than normal for me cause I worked late last night. I'm still tired. Its cold and snowy here today too. Woke up to everything white. Not too much though, so I am glad, very ready for spring. Have a wonderful weekend!!

       Breakfast: banana
Lunch:  popcorn, soy nuts and edamames (ended up taking kids to see movie, snuck my own food in, shh!)

      Snack:  If needed, fruit

Went and saw Taken today and it was very good. Then went to Wal Mart and bought more beans and tomotoes and frozen veges. Can't run out of them.  :D

Hi Judie. Wow, you have snow, you can keep it.  :)  We barely got enough to cover all the grass, haha, just enough to make it white briefly. We don't have any now. I live in IL, between St. Louis, MO and Springfield, IL, about 5 hours away from Chicago. I was born in a suburb of Chicago and lived there for 3 years, then my family moved to Staunton, been here most of my life. So...where do you live?

Talk to you later,  ;)
