      3/3/09

Breakfast:  Eggs, Sinful Sausage, corn thins, Smoothie
      Lunch:  LDL Bean soup, salad
Supper:  Fish pie, made with shrimp, orange roughy, blue hake and tilapia, salad with tomato, egg, mushroom dipped in FF ranch, shrimp cocktail.

My husbands birthday is today, he loves fish, so I am trying this recipe out for him and will eat LDL for supper with him.
My husband really liked the fish pie, he is taking leftovers in his lunch tomorrow. My oldest son didn't really like it and my youngest son does not like any fish or shrimp, so he ate leftover LDL chili and salad. I thought it was good, I am not a big fish eater. But I love shrimp. I am very full. Thank God cause we have cheesecake for dessert. Not for me though.

Tracy, when I saw you were going to fix the fish pie, I made it a point to come back to your journal and see if you let us know how it turned out.  I love clam chowder, shrimp, cod, scallops, clam cakes, and all that fishy stuff so maybe I would like the fish pie.

Hope your dh had a wonderful birthday.

Have a great day tomorrow

Breakfast:  1 hard boiled egg, sinful sausage, apple, smoothie
Lunch:  LDL taco soup, lima beans
Supper:  Cabbage roll(not much left so I finished it), frozen grapes and popcorn

Had to work tonight and I usually make me some beans or soup to take with me, but last night I didn't make anything but supper, I spent the rest of the time with my husband. So I just grabbed food in the 15 minutes I was home between jobs.

Tracy,

Hope all is well in your home and God has given you insight regarding your step daughter.

Spring should be coming to your area soon also.  I love March as the temps start rising and plants turn green again.  The robins are here, we counted 17 in two small trees in our front yard.  We feed the birds and enjoy watching them come up to eat.  The cardinals stay all winter.

Made another pot of beans today so we are good another few days.

Hope you have a great day tomorrow.  I send a hug to you.

Hi Carrole,

We did make a decision about my stepdaughter and we are not going to let her move in with us. She left here Sat. and has not even called us once, did not even call her dad yesterday and wish him a happy bday, after I sent her a text reminding her. So we both have decided that she is not ready to change her lifestyle like she said she was. She wants to stay with her friends who do drugs. She even had enough nerve to ask me Friday night if she could smoke pot here. So, no, we can't do it.
I feel good about our decision. I believe it is what we are meant to do. Thank you so much for all your support and prayers and hugs. Thanks for asking. Its greatly appreciated.

I hope you have another wonderful day tomorrow. We are suppose to have 50's tomorrow and up to 70 this weekend, with rain, but thats okay. I can't wait.

*hug*,  Tracy

Breakfast: Smoothie, frozen grapes, 2 hard boiled eggs.
Lunch:  Neets meatloaf, salad with mushrooms, eggs, blue cheese dipped in FF ranch.
    Supper:  Broccoli/cauliflower soup, soy nuts

Carrole...I think we did make the right decision. In the middle of the night last night she called me, but I didn't hear my phone. She wanted us to give her $300.00 to bail her friend out of jail. I don't think so! She is not ready to leave that life behind and we won't let her bring it here.

        Breakfast:  None
Lunch:  Salad with bunch of veges and beans, dipped in Low-fat ranch, Grilled whitefish, broccoli, ice tea
        Supper:  Smoothie, popcorn, apple

Beautiful day today. Temps in the 70's, partly sunny, alittle windy. Went shopping with my sister and bought lots of food. I was running out. She is also on a diet, just basically watching what she is eating. I am going to let her read my book when I get it back from my friend. I have already told her so much about LDL and she wants some of the recipes, so I will make copies for her.
Gotta clean house tomorrow, suppose to rain all day, so I won't wanna be outside. So after Church I will be busy cleaning and cooking.

Tracy, taking a walk sounds like a good idea.  I might find time after company comes and leaves to do the same.  It is not sunny here but not real cold either so no excuse for me not to.

The robins are in the trees singing their happy songs.  I love this time of year.

Remembered to set our clocks back last night so was almost 2 when I got to bed last night.  We got to sleep in this morning as went to church last night.  Will be nice to have it light longer in the evenings.

Hope you had a great weekend.

Hi Tracy,

I took that walk yesterday and went half a block further than last time.  It did feel good just being outside and breathing fresh air.  We have cold wind and sleet coming tonight and cold the rest of the week so glad we got to walk some yesterday and today.

Got new glasses today hoping they would help me when reading posts.  But not much luck there, have to raise my head high and look under them.  They do help a lot with close up stuff.

I'm ready to get some tops in pretty colors.  I love yellow, pinks, blues, and my favorite color, mint green.  I usually get money for some of my birthday presents so been thinking about a shopping trip.  I may get surprised this year and not get money.  Oh well, fun to dream.

I wish you a great Tuesday.

Hi Carrole,

So glad you got to take a walk out in the fresh air. Its been so warm here, in the 70's, the last few days, really scary. haha. We are suppose to get storms. They keep saying rain, but we havn't gotten much here. I've been very tired the last few days. I think from changing the clocks. Its hard getting up when its still dark out, haha, not use to that, but I love that it stays lighter later.

Too bad about your glasses. At least they do help you with close up stuff though. Thats good, glasses are not cheap.

I like all the same colors in tops you do. I recently bought me a yellow and pink one. I don't want to buy too much now cause they won't fit when I lose more weight.  :) That makes me very happy.

Your birthday is tomorrow right? My youngest son's birthday is tomorrow too. He will be 14. Wow, hard to believe. He wants to go eat chinese for his birthday, and that will be VERY hard for me. I will make the best choices I can. I don't wanna ruin what I've already done.

Have a wonderful birthday and a great day tomorrow.

*hug*, Tracy

Thanks for the birthday wishes.  I think it will be a nice day.  There have been phone calls and secrets shared  with my dh so know there are plans being made.  Love surprises and having family plan fun things to do on my birthday.  I hope your son has a wonderful birthday also.

I'm suppose to weigh myself tomorrow but dreading it.  For two and a half months, I've stayed off the scale with the goal of staying off until my birthday.  My family keep asking if I have lost more, so don't want to disappoint them and myself.  So will probably bite the bullet and do it.  Tracy, I'm so looking forward to being able to buy clothes that are pretty and not just what I can find that fits.

Have a great evening with your family and God bless.

Carrole, Make sure you let us know all your birthday surprises!! HaHa. Enjoy the day. I decided to let my son skip school today for his birthday. He was very happy. His grades are good so he will be fine.

     3/11/09
Breakfast:  Banana, apple, 2 scrambled eggs, Roger Troy burger (tried to make my brain think it was sinful sausage, but it didn't work, but my stomach was happy, woke up hungry today)
Lunch:  LDL Beef stew, salad with radishes, egg, cauliflower, mushrooms dipped in FF Ranch.
Supper:  Peel & eat shrimp, salt & pepper shrimp (didn't know what was all in this so didn't have many), some kind of white fish (took a paper napkin and patted it off, not sure what it was cooked in), corn on the cob, grapes, pineapple and tea. I think that was everything.

Went out to eat at Chinese restaurant with my son for his birthday, thats where he wanted to go. It was hard finding food I liked, I usually eat all the breaded stuff. haha I think I did good though. Didn't even eat my fortune cookie, I wanted to though.

[size=100]Carrole,

If you don't want to weigh in - don't.  I am staying off the scales for a while myself...for now, just using my clothes as my scale.  I haven't weighed because I don't want a "number" to influence how I am feeling (emotionally), or maybe even "derail" me from the path.

Just my thoughts...You are in Mine!

Love,
Doreen
