Judie,

A friend of mine got one and was telling me how much she liked it. I ordered it from Fingerhut. Used it for the first time last night. Its an infrared oven. It comes with recipe books. Suppose to be a healthy way to cook. You can also cook from frozen state. Thats what I liked about it, I don't always remember to take something out. haha
If you want to check it out go to Fingerhut, or you could probably google it. Its pretty big though, not sure where I will store it. Out of cabinet space.

Hi Tracy,

Wondering if the storms that came through here today are headed your way.  We had winds over 60 mph at times and some got hail.  Guess March is going out like a lion.

Your new oven sounds interesting, does it cook faster than a regular oven?  My microwave is getting so old, keep looking for it to quit but it keeps on.

Have a great Tuesday(can you believe how fast these weeks go by)

Good morning Carrole,

We got lots of wind yesterday afternoon and evening. I walked, been trying to every night, and it was pretty windy. We are suppose to get rain and more wind today and tonight. Its been in the 70's, but now tomorrow a cold front is coming in and it will be in the 50's. (well i guess cold front will come in at night). Our weather guy said last night that our weather pattern will be rocky for the next month. Up and down temps and he said we might even get more snow. I really hope not!!

Yea these weeks do fly by. Hard to believe. I'm excited about May. My sister is coming home for 3 weeks, she lives in TX. Haven't seen her in almost 2 years. She will be staying with us, she will be here for both my son's graduations, out of high school and 8th grade, then my niece is getting married June 6th, so she will be here for that too. I am taking a weeks vacation when she gets here, I am also looking forward to that.

The nu-wave oven is suppose to cook faster. I have only used it once, and it did seem that the chicken was done quick. It was good and juicy too. I plan to experiment with it. haha

Have a wonderful day!!

Thanks Gwen! Its so easy to have a great attitude when you lose weight, the weathers getting nicer so I can be out more and my sister will be here soon. I'm anxious for my sister to see me and notice my weight loss. She is so skinny, just like my mom was. Always made me mad. haha I am really loving LDL. I am so glad I found out about this. I love spring and summer. My dh and I go to alot of Cardinal ball games. In fact, our first game is April 12, Easter. We are soo looking forward to it. We are going with his brother and wife. I also love to walk when its nice out. I am definately getting spring fever. haha

Breakfast:  2 hard boiled eggs, apple, frozen grapes, smoothie
Lunch:  Chicken breast with oranges and cranberries, salad with egg, spinach, carrots, tomatoes, dipped in FF ranch.
Supper:  Banana, salsa with corn thins, corn
Snack:  soy nuts, edamames and raisins mixed together.

I'm really tired today. Having a hard time doing anything since I got home from work. I overslept this morning, my alarm didn't go off, and it was set, still set when I got up. So I don't know what happened to it. I'm wanting to walk after I get supper cooked, maybe that will give me some energy. I always take one of my dogs with me when I walk. We have 4, so the other 3 have a fit they can't go, but I can't handle all of them. haha

Have a good night!!

Tracy,  isn't it fun having a sister?  I have five sisters but mostly close to the two oldest just 2 and 4 years younger than me.  We have a blast when we get together.  I love them dearly.  My one sister is coming for the weekend around the 18th of April.  I'm ready to sit and chat and drink peach tea.  We usually have peach tea and have a little joke about having it.  When we are talking and our husbands come out sometimes we want to change the subject so talk about how great our peach tea is.  So over the years it has become our secret.

Had two little grandchildren this afternoon.  They have colds so hope we don't get it.  It is hard not to love on them, so kept washing my hands and hoping I was not getting cold germs. ha

I hope you don't oversleep tomorrow and have a more relaxing day.  God bless.

Hi Carrole.

Yes, I love having sisters. I am the youngest of 5 kids, 4 girls, 1 boy. My sisters are 8, 11, 14 years older than me. My brother was 5 years older but he passed away from cancer when he was 39. I am actually closest to my oldest sister now. 2 of my sisters live in town and then one in TX. I am so exited for my sister to come home. Haven't seen her for 2 years.
I love spring and summer and am very ready for it! Have a wonderful night.

I hear the cherry blossoms are out in Washington D.C.  They aren't out here and it is COLD.  Looks like you have some weather headed your way also.

Sorry you have to work on the weekend, but happy you are taking food with you.  Last night on way home from Son's house, I was wanting some ice cream and told my dh.  I knew we hadn't eaten enough fruit yesterday so came home and had my berry mix (blueberries, strawberries) which I had sweetened with some splenda.  That took care of it.  Close call. ha.  Always makes me happy when I can take care of a craving eating ldl food.

Just wanted to stop by and say hi Tracy.

Hi Carrole and thanks for stopping by.  :)  Yea, its cold and rainy here right now. They say we might get snow, but I don't think so. At least I'm really hoping. HaHa  Its going to be a cooler week coming up here. I got spoiled with the nice weather the last couple of weeks. But I plan on still walking after supper when I can. We are suppose to get more rain too.

Yea, I work 2 jobs. I work every Friday night and then every other Sat, Sun and Wed night. I'm pretty busy. One job I sit all day, the other one I'm on my feet. Keeps me out of trouble. HaHa  I do get tired of working so much, but the extra money helps right now. My day job is just Mon thru Fri.

Good job on taking care of your ice cream craving. I haven't had that craving yet and hope I don't. I fight my craving for Frito's (chili cheese) at my night job every night I work. Thats why I take plenty of food. Its working so far, but sometimes when I walk by those chips I hear them calling my name. I stop and look at them, then decide I don't want them and walk away. Will power!! Kinda hard sometimes. HaHa. But they haven't won.  ;)

Have a great weekend!!

3/28/09
Breakfast:  None
Lunch:  Salad with egg, mushrooms, carrots, spinach dipped in FF ranch, China Doll's chicken soup. I made this a little different, I used boneless, skinless chicken breast, added peas and less carrots, and more seasonings. Very good and wonderful on a cold day like today.
Supper:  Smoothie, frozen grapes
Snack:  popcorn

I'll post more after work if I ate more.

Hi Tracy!  This is you ...............

You are doing just great and you have the most wonderful attitude.  You are going to be wildly successful.  I know you're going to be next year's LDL poster child in the women's magazine articles -- wearing your size 8's.  I hope you read Mary's story.  She wanted to go down a couple of sizes to get back into her 8-10's and ended up dropping down to a size  ... what was it, Mary?  2-4?  It think so.  I read a story about her asking Roger Troy about how much she was losing, because she was concerned she would waste away to nothing and she said he just laughed & laughed about that.  Apparently, when your body gets to where it wants to be, it just stops losing & there you stay.

So that is MY dream for myself, and everyone else too.  May we all reach our lowest set point before Jesus comes so we can then switch our focus away from food and weight loss and toward advancing the Kingdom for His glory!

Your Chinese chicken soup sounds good.  I love those clear soups with just a whisper of paper-thin green onion floating on top.  YUM!

OH BTW to Tracy and Carrole both - Doubly good job staying away from those those junk foods.  Let me tell you about something that I dreamed up to keep me away from bad junk that calls out to me...  I started imagining them calling me by some of those filthy vulgar names that nasty rude people have called out to me in public.  Those people act like they have some sort of entitlement to say unspeakable things to and about others - loudly and well within our hearing.  I wonder if it makes them feel good to say those things? ? ?  It makes me so sad for them about the vengeance the Lord has in store for them.

So the next time the Fritos & ice cream call you, imagine them saying, "Hey ........................ (fill in something ugly).  Come over here and eat me!"  *evil*

Thanks Gwen for stopping by and once again giving advice and encouraging words.  *hug*  I have found out that having a happy and positive attitude helps everyone around you also have that. Makes the days go by so much nicer. I deal with the not so nice public every day and I try very hard to stay happy. Doesn't work all the time, but most of the time.

Thats a wonderful idea about the bad foods calling you. LOL I love it and I will think of that next time it happens. I barely looked at those frito's tonight. YEA!! I like chips, but its probably the salt I want, so I always make sure and have my soynuts and edamames with me. It helps.

Have a wonderful day tomorrow. Stop by anytime.  ;)

*love*, Tracy

The Fritos in the top of the pantry have a voice like those gross purple mucous people on the Mucinex commercials.  I have to change channels whenever those some on, they make me literally sick to my stomach.

Love it, love it love it. Gwen you are so funny.  *hug*  Just wanna hug you. Did not have any problems tonight with Frito's. HaHa I am going to think about that every time I see a bag now. Thats just GREAT!!

Did okay today except for tonight. I had a no no, but only 1 no no and I am done. haha. A friend brought me a pizza back from this Italian place in St. Louis. She says its the best pizza ever. She brought me a large deluxe. I told her I would only eat 1 piece, then the rest would go home to my family. The pieces were not real big, cut in squares. I ate one, and wanted more, but didn't have anymore. She told me that I would not be able to stop at one. But I did. It was good, but not sure its the best. I probably need to eat a couple more pieces to decide that.  *evil*  Just kidding.  ;)

    3/29/09
    Breakfast:  Smoothie
Lunch:  Leftover pork loin chop with sauerkraut, split pea soup. (yummy)
Supper:  grapes, 1 piece of pizza.

Wasn't even that hungry cause I had a late lunch. Had to be at work at 4, so I ate about 2:30. Still not hungry. Which is good, there is still pizza left.   No more for me!!

Have a great day tomorrow everyone.
