Re: Tracy's Journal
Tracy, I bet that pork loin chop in sauerkraut was just as good as that pizza! I do know, though, sometimes you just have to eat something that is being given to you as not to be rude. My church had subs last Sunday as a fundraiser. I did the best I could and just ate half the bread, but I didn't want not to participate as it was for a good cause. Sounds like you did just fine with the big test with just having one slice.

Hi Cheryl. Thanks for stopping by. That pork loin chop was delicious. I bought the boneless pork loins from Schwans. There is hardly any fat on them. Its the best part of the pork chop. It was sooo good.
I will definately get more of those. I was proud of myself for only having 1 slice of pizza. I could have ate more, but I really wasn't hungry, which is good. Yea, its hard when you are somewhere and they have food and expect you to eat. The party we were at a couple weeks ago, there was nothing there for me to eat. I didn't come prepared because I didn't think we were staying that long. I did okay, for what I had to work with. haha

Breakfast: Smoothie, grapefruit, apple, frozen grapes
Lunch: Chicken key lime, butter beans, salad with egg, spinach, tomatoes, blue cheese dipped in FF ranch.
Supper: celery, green pepper.
Snack: Popcorn

Hi Tracy,
Thanks for stopping by my journal.
I have been so busy this week, been babysitting our two granddaughters while dd gets ready for a shower this Saturday. I come home late and so tired. The little one has a birthday tomorrow, she will be one year old.
Have a new little granddaughter coming in the middle of May, can't wait to see her.
We need to get ready for a snow storm coming this weekend. Sounds like we are going to get quite a bit. Nothing like Judy and Kris are getting. My tulips are about ready to bloom.
I hope your life is going well, don't work tooooo hard. Almost the weekend.
Hugs, Carrole

Do you have bad weather? Its been nice here, and my DH picked our tulips tonight because we are suppose to get snow and cold temps tonight thru Tuesday. Then it will warm up some again. I'm ready for it to stay warm. I love the spring and summer months.

Tracy,
I believe you are getting the storm that just went through here last two days. We had winds up to 55 mph. We didn't get much snow but some ice. Most of the snow went 100 miles North of us. Sounds like tomorrow will be cold but warming up after that.
What kind of resort did you buy into? Is it on a lake? What fun that would be.
Yes, grandkids are the best. They can exhaust you in a short time but well worth having. Our new little one should be coming in May. She has given her mother a little harder time then the other two but only a month to go now. That makes five for us. I always thought I loved them best when tiny babies but now think a year old is so precious when they are learning to walk and talk. Love all ages of course.
Hope your Monday is great.
Hugs, Carrole

I hear that....we've had so many stormy days in the past week and a half...
They were really bad. The Chipola River goes through our area and it is so high right now, that the business on the river that rents canoes for river trips...the water completely covers his parking/canoe storage lot, and goes up about 5 ft. on the building. We could almost reach down and touch the water which was just about level with the bridge!
I hope and pray we don't get much more rain
for a couple of weeks. We live out in the sticks and there are lots of "wash outs" on our roads.
Well...enough of that...God is in control
Have a BEAN-utiful day!

Lunch: LDL taco salad, corn thins
Supper: Grilled chicken breast, green beans, salad, ice tea
Snack: corn thins, banana
Yesterday was our anniversary, so we went out to dinner. I need to cook, running out of stuff to eat.
Carrole, yea its been cold, rainy and snowy here. We had snow showers yesterday, really pretty to watch. It didn't stick. Suppose to be cold today, then warm up. Thats good, I am ready for summer.
We bought a time share from Summer Bay Resorts. We can go just about anywhere, but we checked out this resort thats only 2 hours away from us. My DH has such a hard time getting off for vacation, and I have 3 weeks vacation I have to use by Dec 31, so its hard to use. I can only take my vacation during the summer, once Sept hits, my boss won't let me take off, so we have a hard time taking off together. I am looking for a week of r and r. haha
So I booked a week vacation in Aug and I hope he can get off or at least some days off. Might even see if we can take grandkids for a few days if my DH can't stay the whole time.
Hi Doreen, thanks for stopping by. I really hope the weather gets better for everyone. Where we checked out the resort, its on the Mississippi River and the towns and fields are flooded around. One part of the road scared me cause we had "lakes" on both sides of the road, and there shouldn't have been any. I had visions of just floating away. haha. I don't like flooding. Have a great day.

Hi Tracy,
Doesn't vacations sound good this time of the year? Sure hope your dh can get off in August to vacation with you.
We got our camper moved out where we can get it ready for camping. We hope to put two recliners in it and take out the couch. We both need to keep our feet up some of the time so looking forward to our chairs. I don't like to camp when there are storms and Springtime seems to have an abundance of them. We've already had several go through. Then the next day, we may get snow. Crazy state. The tulips peeked their little yellow blooms out yesterday so hope the snow is gone for this year.
Hope you had a great Easter, we had a fine one, little rainy but ok.
Thanks for stopping by my journal, I appreciate it.
God bless,
Hugs, Carrole

Tracy,
Hope your weather has warmed up by now as ours has and you can enjoy Spring. I've been planting garden and still need to purchase some flowers to plant. We have been getting the severe spring storms that go with spring. So far most of them haven't materialized. We have been getting a mist with few drops of rain the last few days and another day of it tomorrow. I sure miss the sunshine, but happy to have the rain as we were so dry. This is such a beautiful time with all the flowering trees and tulips.
Have a great weekend Tracy.

Re: Tracy's Journal
Hi everyone. Things in my life have been very hectic the past few weeks. I have probably one more week of this mess and can't wait for all this to be behind me. I am going to try my hardest to start my journal back up tomorrow. I actually have been doing good even though I'm not posting. I have lost 21 pounds since Feb 2 and I am very happy about that. I am surprised because when I am stressed I eat, and I have ate some things that I shouldn't have in the last 2 weeks, but not enough of anything to hurt me apparently. haha I took a long walk tonight and earlier today I took a walk with my 2 grandchildren. It was a nice day today, not sunny, not hot or cold. Just right
Thanks for checking in on me Carrole and Gwen. I tried to check in at least twice a week, but I know I have missed alot. Carrole, we use to have a camper. We use to go camping all the time. Gosh, I really miss it. We just didn't have time anymore, so we sold our camper probably 5 years ago. I hope one day we can get another one, but it probably won't happen till we retire. haha
Have a great day tomorrow.
, Tracy

Re: Tracy's Journal
Congraduations on your 21 lb. weight loss. That is one thing about this way of eating....that it is forgiving. Just as long as we don't just keep eating that way. I slip on the weekends when I'm invited out with some from church. So I just try to keep my portions down. I have done badly today and I can tell.....I feel yucky! I will be back on LDL tomorrow. Isn't it wonderful that you got to go on your walk. Your grandkids will remember forever. Isn't it wonderful to be on the train to Skinnytown with so many wonderful people.....Be Blessed or better yet...be a Blessing

Hi Tracy:
Welcome back. The boards have been a little quiet so I hope you can be back on a regular basis soon! I know Roger will want you to post your 21 pound loss success story on the personal success board when you can since most people that are browsing may only read that subject......Hopefully, you'll have time to do that soon!
Take care and I hope things are calmer for you soon!

Karllita, yes its great to be on that train to skinnytown. I knew the first time I heard about this way of eating that it was right for me. I am so glad to actually see it working on me. haha
Yea, the grandkids are a handfull, but they are fun. They are 4 and 1 1/2. Cute ages, just wish I had more time to spend with them.
Cheryl, I had some serious issues to take care of. Everyone on this board were in my thoughts every day, I was getting withdrawals. haha. I was on several times a day, then hardly at all. I will post my 21 pound loss on the personal success board soon. I was pretty shocked but very happy, because like I said, I did stray some in the past 2-3 weeks I've been dealing with my problem. Stress does bad things to you.
But for the most part I stayed true to LDL.
Hi Gwen. Gosh, from what I've read you and Neil sure have been sick. Things have been crazy for you too. I am glad everyone is better. I have not had time to go back and read everything thats happened the past few weeks. I'm just glad to see that you are back home and doing better.
Carrole, thanks!! Yea, I'm pretty happy about being 21 pounds lighter. A friend of mine from work gave me a bunch of dress clothes that are a size smaller than what I was wearing. She is also losing weight, but not on LDL, and she can't fit into these clothes anymore. They are a size 16, and some pairs of pants are even alittle big on me. But mostly they fit good, alot better than my 18's. The tops I'm in now are 14-16's, which is great. I am so use to buying clothes that are XL or 18-20's.
Gotta go for now. Thanks everyone and have a great night and day tomorrow.

Tracy, so great hearing from you.
Doesn't going down sizes in clothes do a lot for a person's spirit? I haven't weighed since March 11th so don't know what I'm doing, hopefully a little more has dissapeared. I worked for hours out in the yard today planting flowers and vegetables and didn't fall on my face bending over to put them in the ground. Last year don't think I could have done this and survived to tell about it.
Hope you have a stress free, rest of the week Tracy.
Hugs, Carrole
