Introducing me

Post by econ-nerd »

Hello.  I just came across this board today.  I read the article in First (along with a lot of other people!) and just ordered the book.  I plan to get started on this now while waiting for the book to arrive.  I have been dieting off an on for ages.  I lost a significant amount of weight several years ago but have gained most of it back.  I am again back on track and have lost about 20 pounds this year by watching what I eat and exercising.  I suspect that LDL will take me to the next level and will get me down to a good weight. I think I have my ticker set right (well see when I hit the post button here)  My goal weight is flexible - it was the weight I was at in high school and one that I felt great at.  I will reevaluate this goal when I get there. Now I am off to read more posts and get myself started!

Welcome, econ-nerd!

I still haven't received my book, either, but I've been emailed that it's finally in transit.  If you didn't order yours from this site, you might consider doing so (and cancelling your original order) because the backorder and waiting lists are so long everywhere else.  In the meantime, go to the home page, and in the very first section you'll find all the information you need to get started.  And of course, if something isn't clear, or you need some backup, just hit the boards and ask the first LDLer you meet.  If they don't know the answer, they can direct you to someone who does.

Welcome econ-nerd!  This is a fantastic place to be. Everything you need to know can be found right here. I am on my third day and have not been hungry at all. Will be trying some of the recipes tomorrow.

Just received my book Monday but have learned so much already from these boards. I really feel that this is what I have been waiting for.

Good luck and may God bless you in everything you do,
Martha

HI econerd,

Welcome!  How are you doing with LDL?  Did you get your book yet?  Please come here often for support - both giving and receiving!  You will be surprised how an off hand comment can encourage and make someone feel they are not alone. We are all more similar than different.
