Going to St. Lucia!

Post by jraeg »

I am sooooooooo thrilled! *woot*  I'd been stuck for a few days, then I went walking for an hour yesterday.  Lost 2 more pounds!  I know that's not a lot for some people, but I have a long way to go and really needed the kick!  Going again today!  So far I've lost 16 pounds in just under 3 weeks! *love*

Howdy Jacque!

Sounds like you're doing great on LDL..!! Congratulations!

And St. Lucia sounds wonderful.  Last year we went to Barbados for a getaway and since we had a room with a little kitchen in it, i prepared our meals and we stayed LDL compliant...I carried down my popcorn popper and spices and beans and we ate like royalty without spending alot of money and we stayed on plan.  At that time i weighed my least...i was almost down to my goal....but silly me....when we were getting ready to travel home and they brought that hotel scale to our room so we could weigh our bags, i stepped on it and when i saw something like 172 pounds, i was so happy that at the airport i "rewarded" myself with 3 airport chocolate chip cookies...then when i didn't gain weight immediately, other things crept back in and before i knew it a year had passed and i gained back all my weight!!

Please be careful not to get on that scale too much...It's really NOT your friend.  Will you be happy if one day (and it's bound to happen because that's what happens on LDL) you climb on the scale and see you've "gained" 4 pounds or so?  You can't trust the scale..It's better to trust how your clothes are feeling...Just keep doing LDL and the weight will come off...

Just put one LDL foot in front of the other -- That's what i'm telling myself too!

God bless...
