Finished Day 2

Post by rfrye »

I did Atkins for a long time and was successful; however when I got pregnant I had to start eating "healthy carbs" and ballooned back to where I was before I lost the weight in the first place.  My daughter is almost 9 months old and I'm looking for something healthy I can stick to.  Please pray for me to lose this weight so I can see my daughter grow up and be healthier.

Way to go on finishing day 2!  You will do very well on LDL...just stick with it and you will get results!  I did low carb and took off 40 pounds once.  However, it all came back when I returned to regular eating.  LDL is something you can stick to for life!  A "healthy you" is a wonderful gift to yourself and a wonderful gift to your family!  You are in my prayers!  God bless!

Wecome  You are going to love LDL. It has been so easy  and you don't have to have willpower to  do this. Just eat the approved foods and you will have success.  You are in my prayers.

Yes, as the previous folks have said, LDL is not a hard program to stick with. In fact, LDL is the easiest thing I think I've ever done. I'm saving A LOT of money because I don't eat out and buy the extra crud at the store. And, my body LOVES this way of eating. I used to have bad stomach problems because of the stuff I was eating, and that has passed.
I know you can do this, just because I know I can. I was a bad food junkie before, and now I wonder why I ever liked the stuff anyways. Once in awhile I do indulge in a steak, but other than that I find it extremely easy to eat what the program recommends and be satisfied.
My only advice is this: Forget all other diet "rules" you've ever learned, because they don't apply here. Believe in yourself because you can do this!  *hug*

Congratulations on choosing a way of eating for life.  You also have the opportunity to bring your daughter up eating ldl, so don't cook differently for family, my dh isn't doing ldl, but some of ldl principles are rubbing off on him.  If you want beef, have it at lunch, if you want chicken or fish, have it at lunch.  eat until full every time you are hungry, it seems like you will be eating a lot of food, but that will taper itself down the longer you are doing ldl.  God bless you on your journey

Welcome, from one "Mommy" to another...this is the one you can stick with AND it will be very healthy for your little one.  Just today we were talking about how our kids look different...my little 4yo looks just like his Daddy when he was his age except the "LDL version"..."no huskies"...per Dad.."I used to eat ice cream...the non-LDL kind EVERY night."  My kiddos LOVE so much of the food....I cook/serve mostly only LDL at home.

Blessings,
Julie
