Down 30lbs.!!!

Post by bamaluvr »

I have been doing LDL now for almost 2 months. Just got on the scales and I have lost 30lbs.!!  So happy right now and feeling sooooo  good too.  I bought a flavor wave oven to get more fat out of my food and I just love that little oven. It makes all those soup and meat recipies taste so great . It is the one that has the glass bowl so soup is easy in it.  ;D

Hey Lydia,

I was thinking about the great results   you are having and wanted to know some specifics - if you wish to share.

I lost 15.5 lbs the first month but about half that the second month and I am not sure why. I am really grateful for the loss and my new found energy but would like to improve my results.

Are you exercising?  How much do you have to lose?  Have you been on a lot of diet plans?
Sorry to have all these questions but I am looking for clues and perhaps you can provide some tips for the rest of us.

I did add some of the once in a while foods like cool whip free and ff cheese and I am wondering if these things slowed my weight loss.  :stop:  I exercise every day and have (I am happy  :)  to say the ticker has gone down quite a bit) 77 lbs left to lose. Of course at 59, I am guessing it will take some time. I am also wondering about sauces and canned goods. I am going to cut them out even though the ingredients are ok, I believe the sodium has a negative effect on my body.

Anything you can share would be apprecited by all, I am sure.

Thank you all for your kind and loving encouragement. You all are so great!!  :D  Thanks for the happy dance I love it.  ;D

       Julie,

I eat a banana every morning for breakfast. I eat mostly chicken for my protein @ lunch with lots of different kinds of veggies. I cook the protein in FF Italian dressing or a LDL salsa. I never eat fruit for lunch. I cook my protein in my flavor wave oven only. It really takes all the fat out and keeps it away from the food. I only drink water (bottled) all day long. Dinner is  soup with 3 or more types of beans and a salad. I will have a LDL dip and veggies once in a while.
And I have a bag of popcorn and a banana before bed. I don't use salt. I don't use diet drinks.

I have tried lots of different diets. They didn't work. I need to loose 116 more lbs. to meet the goal I set for myself. I'm 45 yrs. old and most of my exercising comes from playing with my grandbaby  ;D. but the rest comes from walking and exercising in the pool. The heat keeps my mussels relaxed and the water keeps a strain off all parts. I also use a Door Gym for Pilate's. I see it hanging on the door when putting away clothes and I and will use it several times a day for a few minutes each time I walk by it.(Put it there so it would cry out to me in passing.....You bought me now use me!! ) LOL  I think this WOE plan is always age appropriate and whatever age it will not fail you.

I use only fresh veggies and fruit right now. But when garden season is over here I will use canned foods after a good rinse. I worry about all the chemicals in foods and believe that adds to the pain I use to have with FM. I believe this WOE has cleaned all the chemicals out and that set my body up to accept the weight loss.

Any question is always welcome either on the board or in private. We are all here to learn from one another. And I have learned so much on these boards. And thank everyone for their input. I love the family feeling.

I hope I answered all your questions, Julie. Have a great weekend.  :rose:

Lydia,

Thanks so much for the details of your daily regimen. I love and admire your commitment.  *love* I wish I could be that "on plan".

I feel I am doing well. I could do better to be sure but don't wish to create more stress in my life. I want this to be a plan that is naturally incorporated into my life. I definitely will make some tweaks in this, my third month.  I think the biggest lesson I learned for me is that I need to stay away from canned and jarred sauces and salsas as much as possible. And your input has solidified that belief. The fresher the ingredients, the better my body will respond.

Thanks again for sharing. I appreciate it! *hug*
