12 lbs in six weeks

Post by jabrit »

Hello Everybody:
I'm new to the website, and this is my first post.  I've entertained myself for weeks now, reading all the success stories and the abundance of wonderful recipes.  I ordered the book six weeks ago, and started the program immediately.  I'm a 64 year old woman who has been gaining weight since menopause and many years of HRT.  I'd just about given up trying to lose weight until I came across the website quite by chance (or not), and I ordered the book right away, thinking it would add nicely to my vast collection of diet books.  What a surprise I got.  Not only are the recipes delicious, but they are simple and quick to prepare.  My husband joined me after two weeks, and of course has lost more than I have, (13 lbs), but I'm happy for us both.  Thank you to everyone who put all of this together, and all the hard work and dedication that constantly goes  *love*into it.  I'll keep you posted on my weight loss, and look forward to reading more about everyone's weight loss journey too.

Thanks for the welcoming words everybody, I can see this is going to be a fun time.  I hope to eventually get to know a lot of you through your postings, and it's nice to read about your successes.
Joan

PS:  Can anyone tell me how to incorporate one or two of these little happy faces I see above this letter box, into my posts?  Nothing to do with losing weight I know, but they look so appealing.

Sure, just click on the face you want to incorporate in the place of your choosing   You will see the word for the face come up. That is all you need to do. Remember to leave a space after it bc if you don;t, you will see the word and not the face!  :stop:

Also there is a PREVIEW button on the bottom of the box in which you are posting. If you hit that you can see what your post will look like before you hit the POST button.

Have fun!

*woot*  Wow, thank you Julie,  :inlove:  I've been playing myself silly   as you can see.  I've never had so much fun,  :D  and to think, I'm losing weight at the same time.

Bamaluvr, thank you for the kind words, and yes, it's wonderful to get more than you expected.  ;D  Hope to be in touch a lot more in the future.

Joan  *love*
