Hey Jelly...

Of course we will put you on our prayer lists!  You are included in mine and i have just finished praying for you.....

Don't become discouraged because you have not yet seen any weight loss....some of us lose faster or slower or differently than others.  The main thing is to stay on plan and don't worry so much about the weight...it WILL come off if you continue to eat LDL compliant foods.

Please let us know exactly what you are eating...the amounts of the food is not important...but let us know what is going into your mouth...time of day you are eating may also be helpful to us to see if there is something that you are not doing "right."  Please do this immediately and we will give you immediate feed back about that.  DO NOT LOSE HOPE and don't go off plan and lose all you have done this past month.  Many of us see that we have held steady weight for a month (or two or three or more) and then all of a sudden...like magic....you wake up one day and feel lighter....then you can climb on the scale and see if you lost something, but try to stay off the scale because your weight is going to continue to fluctuate up and down ...but over all...you should see a downward turn....give yourself a chance...

Have you been gaining weight? Do you still have cravings for anything in particular? If not...then you are probably doing everything right but we'll confirm that when we see what you've been eating.

Stay positive and we're waiting for your food list...

God bless.

My food list

Post by jelly »

  Hi Margo

Thanks for putting me on your prayer list it means a lot to me. As for my food list , well here goes

I have to eat my first meal at 3:45A.M. and then my lunch is any where from 7:30 to 9:00 in the morning it depends on the flights in the morning how many we have and how many we have working that day. I eat maybe a snack of fruit when I come home if I don't have anything where I have to be in a hurry and then we have our dinner about 4:00P.M. which I have fruit or a smoothie I have no snacks before I go to bed at 8:00. For my lunches I have chicken and a veggie like green beans corn and sometimes I have had peas. I have had the hamburgers out of the book, the bean soup[which is great] just a little fish because I hate it warmed up. I also have had if I get really hungry before I come home I always carry a protein bar with me to eat, because some days it just seems to long in between meals. I am not hungry nor do I really want any thing sweet to eat. I eat until I am full, I get enough excise for me in a day. I am 61 and some days I feel like I have carried enough 50 to 70 lb. bags for a life time. Your right I did not put the weight on in a day so why should I think or want it to come off in one day, God will see fit when the best time is.

Thanks for being here and your helping hand.

Hi again Jelly..

Are you a flight attendant or a pilot?  I know that i always get bloated when i fly...could it be you're retaining fluid?  How do your ankles look?  Do you wear support socks?  i always do when i fly....do you drink alot of liquids?

i don't see what you are eating for breakfast... and yes, let's take a look at that protein bar....

If everything checks out...then just hang on and wait for the weight loss
Take care

Gee! I only wish I where a flight attendant or a pilot I am just a small part of getting you on that flight. No I don't really drink that much water only because I don't really have the time nor can  I carry it with me all day. As for breakfast I have a smoothie and the protein bar has:

Fat 6g
saturated fat 3g              I don't have these every day just when I get really hungry and can't get fruit or
trans far 0g                    popcorn. And no I don't wear support socks I did try them but I just didn't like
Choiesterol10mg              them. Sorry. You know Margo I never saw the 200mg of salt do you think that
Sodium 200mg                is just one factor in my problem? Thanks for all your time and help . Jelly
Potassium 140mg
Total Carbohydrate 16g
Dietary Fiber 1g
Sugars 2g
Sugar alcohol 16g            Protein 20g

Boy, Mary you are so right, there are soy protein chocolate coating peanut flour and so much Mary I can't even begin to type it all because half of it is to hard [small] to read. So I guess I will not have them any more.
Thanks for your help. I will take the fruit instead when I get hungry or popcorn.

hi Jelly....

I have been known to schlep around a big bag of seasoned popcorn with me.  And one day while in Manhattan my car broke down..i was sooooooo glad i had all that popcorn because i was stuck for half a day (the tow truck broke down and my tow needed a tow)...we were both happy (the tow truck driver and myself) to have that popcorn to snack on as we sat waiting for the second tow truck to arrive.....

so carry food and leave food where you can like a squirrel!!  I have a full packet of wasa crackers as back up emergency food in my car and a couple of bottles of water.....i have some LDL compliant food in my mom's freezer...stuff like that.

I think you'll be okay...but remember..even if you don't see all the weight loss you thought you would see right from the beginning, stick with it because you certainly are not going to gain weight if you stay with LDL...and sooner or later, you're going to lose...

i'm a verrrrrrrrrrrrry slow loser so i know!

Hi jelly and welcome to Let's Do Lunch!

I find Wasa crackers from Publix here in FL.  Here's one picture I found online:

However, I don't know if the package has changed in looks from this picture as I couldn't compare it to my package.......I had thrown the outer packaging away....don't ask me why.

Also here's some comments from this site on Wasa:

Btw, I like you name.  It's been a nickname of mine at one time.
Glad you're on this journey to skinnytown!

The most difficult thing about this diet for me is making sure that I do eat enough food.  On several occasions I wrote down and tracked my calories (sorry, I know that you are not supposed to do that) and found out that I was only consuming 800-1100 calories a day.  Everything seemed o.k. to start with, but then my weight went up 2 pounds.  I was disappointed and started eating whatever.  I noticed that as soon as I started eating more food, I dropped some weight.  Now I try to eat more fruit and veggies to fill in and in my mind try to make sure that I do consume at least 1200 calories in the day.  No, I don't track the calories, but I do try to estimate them.  When I get the weight down, I will drop that also.

Dear Deb,
Yes, you must fill up on as much fruit as you can at the meals you reat fruits.  And fill up on your protein at lunch.  When I first started (not long ago) everyone told me not to forget my beans & corn.  I didn't believe them, but I started eating the bean soups and making the recipes from the book and online.  And guess what....I lost more weight.  So, hang in there...follow the book and this WOE will work for you.  Have faith.  I will say a prayer for you now.

Have a blessed and glorious day!
