Please pray for my son
Please pray for my son, Jason. Jason is 31 and a survivor of a TBI with a right frontal lobectomy. He lives in a home for brain injured people, but he has a very hard time controlling his temper due to the lobectomy. Jason has hit two people this month after they antagonized him, but the police were called and he received a ticket for disorderly conduct. I am so afraid they will try to take him to jail and frankly, with his condition, he would not survive. Please, please pray that he is calm from now on and has peace. Please pray he remain in control of himself. Please pray they do not take him to jail...he doesn't know what he is doing. Thank you for your prayers.

Re: Please pray for my son
Cyndy, you have my most sincere prayers for your son Jason! (So sorry for my ignorance, but what is a TBI?)
Dear Jesus, please bring your most perfect peace to Jason. Regardless of his situation, let your peace prevail. Amen.

Re: Please pray for my son
Cyndy,
I'm sorry to hear about your son. But, please try not to worry. That's God's job, remember?
I don't know where you live and what the laws are in your state but in Florida they are not taken to jail. They take them to the hospital to make sure it's not their meds, etc causing the issues. Then, when they have been stabilized, they're sent back to the home. But, unfortunately, the police can still issue the tickets.
I've only seen one case where the person was discharge from the hospital to the jail. The person she attacked nearly died from her injuries.

Re: Please pray for my son
Thankyou all for your prayers and energy. It just doesn't end. We have been at this for so long and I thought he was pretty much stabalized. And now this. Ordinarily he is a funny, tender and caring boy. I say boy because he functions at a 12 - 15 year old level. We have tried through many facilities to get him to progress and is futile. But it is a blessing that he is here. He died 3 times before he started to progress. He was on drugs when he walked into the path of a Semi tractor trailer. Eventually I would like to do work with the Anti Drug campaign. I thank you for this forum where I can vent.

Re: Please pray for my son
OMG, Cyndy,
Reading that just sent chills over me. When I read your original post my first thought was a motorcycle accident without his helmet or a car accident without his seatbelt. Those are the type of cases that I see with traumatic brain injuries.
I will pray for Jason and the truck driver that hit him. I can only imagine the nightmares that person must be having over this as well. My grandfather had been a trucker and hit an MG Convertible that ran a red light in front him (he never got over killing the two people that were in it even though it wasn't his fault).

Re: Please pray for my son
Cyndy,
I am so sorry for your pain
and for the trauma to your son. I have no idea of what you must be feeling. But no matter how old they are or what they do, they are still our babies. All we want to do is hold them in our arms and comfort them and make all the pain go away.
I will include you and your family in my prayers. I hope there is some ease to the situation soon.
