Pam, I think jewelry stores have inexpensive ring sizers.  My 8 inch bracelet slid off my hand.  I have two or three that are that size.  Most of them are 71/2 so are safe.  My rings are sliding around, but as of now, they still feel OK. I have a guard around my diamond.  I wear size 8.  If I lose more in my fingers, will have to resize.  It will be fine, because I don't think that I'll have the problem of gaining back.  Isn't that wonderful!!!  Free from food bondage.  It's nice you're a seamstress because you can resize your clothes.  :D :D :D Joyful Friend

Thanks, JF- I'll check into the ring sizer thingy.  It is a real pleasure to take in my clothes although some things are just too big so I give them to the thrift store and buy smaller things there.  Yes, there is so much freedom when we shed the bondage to food :inlove:!  Pam

I decided to eat just fruit this morning and see if I can make it till lunch.  I would like to start just having the fruit if possible so I can maybe lose weight faster then if I am eating protein for breakfast and for lunch. I loved the smoothie so much for breakfast I decided to make it for dinner also.

B:  Orange Banana smoothie w/ grapefruit juice.  yummy!
    Bowl of Raspberries
L:  Orange Chicken w/ butterbean potatoes, sour cream & ff butter
S:  Bread & Butter sf pickles
D:  Orange Banana smoothie w/ grapefruit Juice.
    Popcorn

Mike"s Day:
B:  1 can of Lite Mixed Fruit
2 eggs with 2 butterbean pancakes w/ sf syrup & ff butter
L:  Bean soup
D:  Butternut squash Casserole w/ banana added
    Popcorn
S:  5 Rye wasa w/ spinach dip

I made the Butternut squash Casserole and I really don't want to use the artificial sweetner so I used a banana and squished it up and mixed it into the casserole.  Mike said it was delicious like this.  He said you can taste the banana but the tastes blend very nicely and it did sweeten it just fine.

OK, I've seen this word - I_am_a_BAD_Spammertail - several times and thought what the heck?  So now I have to give up, what is I_am_a_BAD_Spammertail?

Well I had never seen it before so I guess it must be something we weren't supposed to eat.  He ate a can of fruit that must not be on the LDL list even though it did say lite on it.  I will try to put it in again in a differently.  Oh I know what it was I will bet.  The mixed fruit came out of a can so the name has what could be a bad word in it if taken in the wrong context.

Yeah, it took me a while to figure that one out:  it seems that there's an electronic Naughty Word Policeman in the programme to block out rude words.  If it sees one it recognizes, it substitutes 'I-am-a-bad-spammer' for the offending word and I'm willing to bet Wendy said her husband ate fruit c..ktail.  So, this is how it looks:

People have said they like a cee-oh-cee-kay tail with their dinner, and that word is a no no for the machine.  Someone told me they wrote that their favourite author was Charles Dee-eye-cee-kay-ens and it came out as 'Charles I-am-a-bad-spammerens'.  I wonder if we can say 'koktail?'  And 'Charles D..kens'?

Too funny, makes sense though.  Thanks for clearing this up and Twoshoes you explained it wonderfully without using the words that would make the word police go into cardiac arrest.

Turkey Breakfast Sausage

Post by wendysgoodnews »

Well I found a recipe for making ground turkey breakfast sausage and it was good.  It made 1 1/2 lbs so I froze part of it.
If anyone wants it I will put it on so you can try it.
Turkey Breakfast Sausage
1tsp Salt
1tsp Basil
1tsp Parsley
1tsp Fennel
1tsp Caraway
1 1/2tsp Poultry Seasoning
1tsp Cayenne Powder or Pepper flakes
1Tbs Garlic Powder
1Tbs Onion Powder
1/2tsp Maple Flavor (Optional)
1 1/2lbs Ground Turkey
Pulverize items in a coffee grinder with a blade.  Add spice mixture to Ground turkey.  Blend well.  Make patties and fry in olive oil until well done.
This can also be used with ground chicken breasts.

I was really hungry this morning so I ate my smoothie and just needed more.  Of course I am making salads and things for dinner tomorrow so that could be why my body was thinking it needed more today.  In the Turkey burger I actually added a bit of beef burger that I had.

B:  Orange, banana, grapefruit smoothie w/ 1/2 pkg sf vanilla pudding
    Bowl Raspberries
    2 Turkey Sausage
    2 eggs
L:  1/2 Papa Murpheys Chef Salad w/ ff Ranch & ff Thousand Island
D:  Baked Beans without burger / pineapple added

Mikes Day:
B: 4 Corn Thins
   2 Eggs
L:  2 Turkey Sausage
    2 Eggs
D:  Baked Beans without burger / pineapple added

Oh My! I made the barbeque sauce that I found on these pages and then made the Pineapple Baked Beans without burger.  It does not need the burger for taste.  The barbeque sauce made enough I froze 2 ziploc bags and put enough in the fridge to use again soon.  It was a bit of work but well worth it so I doubled the recipe so we would have leftovers.  If anyone wants the recipe with all of it together let me know and I will type it out.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Wendy!!

I just put my turkey in the oven and can't wait for that Thanksgiving smell to permeate the house.  With a little time on my hands, I logged into LDL so look at messages and found your fantastic sounding recipe for baked beans.  I made the LDL Baked Beans recipe but didn't think it had much flavor.  I can't wait to try yours!

Did you post your recipe on the recipe board?  I think it should be seen by everyone  *hug*

Wendy I have added your Pineapple Baked Beans to the side dishes section of the recipes...This does sound so good, I wanted others to be able to see it.  If you want to place it there yourself go ahead then let me know and I will delete the one I added.  Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving day.

Ok in the night I woke up and remembered I forgot an ingred. so Deborah can you add it to the board where you put the recipe.  It is 15 oz diet cola and I imagine that will make a big difference.  Thanks and Have a very Happy Thanksgiving

Day after Thanksgiving

Post by wendysgoodnews »

Well we are back on track and going strong.  We were up a 5:30 am and had a quick smoothie for the road.  It filled me up until late in the day and then we had a smoothie tonight and felt satisfied.

B:  Orange, banana, grapefruit smoothie
L:  Large shrimp from Costco with a little sauce
D:  Grape, banana, lime juice
    Popcorn

Mike's Day

B:  Strawberry, banana, grapefruit smoothie
L:  Large shrimp from Costco with a little sauce
D:  Popcorn
    Banana
    Sf Cherry Pie

It was nice shopping in town all day and not feeling awful from eating a large greasy lunch.  The shrimp were such a treat. Tomorrow we have another Thanksgiving dinner but on a smaller scale.  I am making the dressing so I will make it with the sf whole wheat bread.

Another Thanksgiving Dinner this afternoon.  My husband is out selling Schnauzer puppies and I am home cooking as LDL as I can.  I am making dressing with sf 100% whole wheat, less fat sausage & that is the best I could do on that.  I am making the pumpkin pie form LDL with no crust but I am adding cream cheese and making pumpkin cheese cake.  Turkey breast only and blessed eggs with ff miracle whip.  Other wise I have done veggies and olives.  There will be garlic potatoes.

B:  orange, banana & grapefruit smoothie
L:  Thanksgiving dinner
D:  LDL Pumpkin pie that I made into a cheesecake with no crust & a dab of sf/ff cool whip
    Grapes

Mike's Day
B:  orange, banana & grapefruit smoothie
L:  Thanksgiving dinner
D:  LDL Pumpkin pie that I made into a cheesecake with no crust & a dab of sf/ff cool whip

Mike & I were talking after we ate and we feel tired and can tell we ate a couple things that are not on LDL so we decided this was a good lesson.  We feel so good on LDL food it is not worth going off even for the minute of pleasure these foods bring.  I can't wait for tomorrow to be back on my LDL way of eating!!
