I was always told that it was nearly impossible to get weight off and keep it off after 40 -- and don't even think about it after 50! Well, LDL is certainly proof that it is not only NOT impossible, it is enjoyable and energizing and healthful!
Please be praying for me tomorrow. I am going in for my pre-op in the afternoon for when I have my knee surgery next week. In the morning I am going in to have a block of shots put into my back to help with the pain. I had a MRI last week and they feel this will help and if it does they want to burn the nerves that are causing the problem. That will happen on a different day after the doctors see if the block works first. I have gotten desperate enough with the pain to try to do something about it. Now that I am losing weight I want to be out of pain from the disk disease so I can walk or whatever for exercise.
Will be praying for you. You have a lot ahead of you, but I bet you will be walking for exercise when Spring hits Montana. God is the great Healer. Prayers and JF
I am praying for a total healing....with or even better without surgery. Use the time to minister to the doctors and nurses and other staff. They will be so impressed with what you have accomplished. Just don't get discouraged if they have doubts and warnings when you explain the details. You will have plenty of followup visits to show them this SWOE is not just another fad DIEt....it is a LIVE-it. Blessings to you

I hope everything goes well with you. It sounds like you must really be struggling with both knee and back pain. Just remember that everything takes time and don't try to rush recovery. The Lord put LDL in front of you for a reason and it may be more than just to loose weight. I am sure the weight loss will help both the back and knee also. Stay positive and just tell yourself you don't have time to be sick and believe me when I tell you it will help. I did that several years ago after surgery and the doctors couldn't believe how good I did. God bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand.

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and good wishes for weight loss. What a great family I have on LDL, so supportive. Well I don't get to eat breakfast or lunch today so I am taking fruit with me so when I am done later this afternoon I can eat. When we get time late afternoon we will go out and eat somewhere.
We ate breakfast early so we can be back in Missoula today for the pre-op tests they run. I plan on taking fruit with me this time so I can eat in between tests late this afternoon.

Wendy - My thoughts and prayers are with you as you approach your surgery. My DH had his knee replaced in September. He is getting back to normal. It takes a lot of hard work on the therapy, but you can do it. The end results will be so worth it. God will give you the strength you need to get through this. This WOE of will also be a benefit. I am so glad that you have your husband on this journey as well, because he will be such a great support system for you. The Lord is with you as well as all of your LDL family. Country Girl
I got a call from a gal who lives in town and she learned that I was doing LDL and wanted to meet for coffee today. It was fun! Her and her husband are both doing LDL and have lost 10 lbs each. They don't have a computer so they can't join us on the board but they are excited and sharing the program with friends at their church.

I decided to make the Chicken breakfast sausage out of red book. I didn't have garlic powder so put in garlic salt, I won't do that again since it made it to salty. The flavor was great and I added smoked flavoring and that was good. I had another lady in town call and ask about getting the book for her. The message is getting around by word of mouth!
