Wendy,

I am sooooooo proud of you  *hug* .  Not only for those 51 lbs you lost but a hug  *hug* also goes to your husband for being supportive of your LDL efforts and also losing the weight he wanted to lose.  Your journal shows members that you can eat a lot and still lose weight.  Keep up the good LDL work and I know with your committment to LDL you will reach your goal weight!

Vicki

P.S. Can't wait to see how many inches you have lost!

Wendy, That is so great!!!  The more we cook at home, and the more we eat LDL foods, the more we loose.  Your DH is like mine.  He likes the foods I fix, and he also likes to enjoy breads and sweets.  He doesn't need to loose more.  :rose: :rose: :rose: to you, JF

I measured myself this morning.  I am not sure how everyone else measured but I did all my problem areas.  So here goes:
Hips & lower tummy:  7 in
Upper tummy:  7 in
Across chest:  4 in
Top of legs:  2 in

Is this really possible or did I measure wrong?!  I can really tell by looks and all my clothes that are falling off that I have lost alot, especially my tummy area but I was so surprised I measured twice to make sure I didn't make a mistake.

Thank you Jesus and again thank you Roger for your obedience in listening to God's voice.

Congrats on the inches lost and yes it is possible and no you didn't measure wrong.  That's awesome news.

For myself I'm trying to get down another 7 pounds to get below 300 before I go out and get a smaller size, but the pants I have right now I have to constantly have to keep pulling them up.  Keep up the good work.  I love LDL

By the way, how do you make your pineapple and coconut "ice cream."  Do you use a banana or just the pineapple and then coconut extract?  I'd love to make some if I had the recipe.  It sounds delish.

I was given these wonderful recipes on the boards last week.

Orange coconut smoothie
Orange concentrate
pineapple with juice (frozen)
banana (frozen)
5 to 6 drops of coconut extract

Strawberry coconut smoothhie
Frozen stawberries
pineapple with juice (frozen)
banana (frozen)
5 to 6 drops of coconut extract

I did make this one morning without freezing the pineapple and it was still real good but much thinner.

Thank you for the fast response.  Looks like I"m going to have to get some coconut extract.  Sounds good.  I was getting tired of the banana/blueberry but the pineapple/coconut sounds liike a good change.

What wonderful results you are having as a reward for your commitment. Didn't you even have surgery during that time and have not missed a beat.

I was looking at your chicken breast recipe. Years ago I had a wonderful apricot/ ginger chicken breast dish at a restaurant. I'm wondering if I could do your recipe with apricot preseves. But I'm not sure if the vinegers would work.

Yes I had knee replacement surgery and I am still working on totally recovering from it.  I get a little impatient in getting to normal even though it hasn't quite been 3 months yet.
The nice thing about most of these chicken recipes is you can make them your own.  Use what ever ingred. sound good to you and just experiment with different spices or fruit.  The nice thing about chicken is it is hard to ruin it when adding sauces and flavoring to it.

Wendy... First, FANTASTIC results on your inches lost.  When you add them up, you have lost 20 inches!!  And, by eating a lot of good food!

Second, is the sauerkraut sald the one on the boards that Snowbirdie posted?

Wow 20 inches that sounds even better.
I couln't  find the saurkraut salad but I did find it on the boards a week or so ago.  I found it at the same time as I found 2 other salads.  I don't see where it was put in the recipe section under salad recipes.  It is one of those salads that when eating it is so satisfying because of all the different tastes in it.

Use 1/2 c. for both.  I took and stirred it a couple of times daily so by the time the 3 days were up the sauce was well absorbed.  i kept trying it each day and it tasted really good from the time I made it.  Enjoy!
