We had bought a package of beef & spice natural hotdogs a long time ago.  We fried a couple of them for breakfast this morning to eat them and get rid of them.  I hated to throw them away and they didn't seem to have anything in it that looked to bad.  I will see how my body reacts to it by tomorrow.

B:  Strawberry & Banana Omelet

L:  Blue Cheese Salad
D:  Fuji Apple
    Pineapple & Coconut Icecream

We have a Health Food Center here and I asked. They seemed to think there was not any. Did a search and this is all I came up with. Appears there is no pure extract so maybe what you got at Wal-Mart is as good as this: http://www.silvercloudestates.com/viewp ... spx?id=210

Wow that is expensive and has the same ingredients in it.  Well I just looked at my little jar and it is only 1oz so I am probably paying the same amount if not more.  Oh well it is worth the icecream and smoothies.  We have been doing these for quite some time and it hasn't affected our weight any.

My son is home from college for spring break so tried to make things today he would eat with us.  I have never had cod that was not breaded so had to try to figure out how to cook it.  I finally ended up making the sweet onion dressing I put on salads and putting it over the fish.  It tasted pretty good but was a bit bland.  The layered Bean dip was a big hit on the corn thins.

B:  Raspberry & Banana Omelet
Fried Beef & spice natural hotdog
L:  Cod w/ sweet onion sauce
Corn Thins w/ Layered Refried bean and home Lean ground pork burger, salsa, olives, grated cheese & onions
    Wonderslaw
Green beans out of last years garden w/ garlic
    Jello SF
D:  Orange & Banana smoothie

What do they serve at a Sedar dinner?
I was invited to one but I couldn't go. I'd like to attend some time though.  :)
I find apples are very satisfying to me also!  *love* Love those apples!

I googled and got this site talking about the Christian version of a Seder meal:

Thank you very much for the site.  It not only tells me what we will be eating but what we will be doing.  I am excited to go and participate in this Passover dinner.

I decided I was hungry for the taste of pizza but didn't want to make the soup.  So I made a flat omelet of egg with water as the crust.  I put the pizza sauce on eggs after it was cooked and added some lean fresh ground pork w/ onion and added spices to make it taste like sausage.  I then added olives and a little cheese.  Was delicious!

I made a "pizza" with a meatloaf-type crust (as thin as possible, bake first and use paper towels to press out any grease), then top with Pizza sauce, and any other toppings+ fat-free cheese if desired.  It was very good.  Pam

That sounds really good too.  I love pizza but after making the soup too many times I decided I needed a different way to make a satisfying pizza taste.  If anyone else has other ideas let me know of recipes for pizza without flour crust.  Thanks Pam I plan on trying this.

Wonder if there is anyway to use spaghetti squash as a base, like when making a spaghetti pie?  And use all the pizza flavors you want...

I made some little eggplant rounds the other day, and hubby was calling them pizza wheels... I sliced them, dipped in egg with a little added olive oil,,, then dipped in ground corn thins,, baked on 400 degree's for 20 mins until golden brown, then flipped for a few more mins until both sides were nice and crisp.... then but a little spaghetti sauce on top with some ff mozzeralla.  They were yummy... we also had spaghetti squash with sauce and meatballs... and salad with homemade sweet balsamic dressing... this meal was delish!

That all sounds interesting.  I have not tasted egg plant since I was a small girl at a friends house.  I have been thinking I need to get some and try them again.  My taste buds have changed so much it is amazing what I like now that I never did before.  The squash idea sound good and easy.  Thanks

Hi Wendy!

I got the following recipe off the boards some time ago. Not sure who originally posted it, and I haven't tried it yet. I keep a couple of thin-crust pizzas in the freezer for my hubby, and add veggies to them when he wants pizza. At the same time, I spread some spaghetti sauce and veggies on wasa crackers, sprinkle on a shred or 2 of low fat cheese, and bake my own mini pizzas while his pizza bakes. One of these days I'll try this recipe and make a real pizza. Or try the quiche crust made from beans, or one of the other bread substitutes as a once-in-a-while pizza crust. Haven't needed it yet!

Zucchini Pizza Crust

Ingredients
2 lb chopped zucchini, shredded (about 4 medium zucchinis)
1 pinch salt
2/3 cup fresh chopped onion, chopped finely
1 medium garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup whole wheat flour  ****  use popcorn flour
1/2 cup Cheese, mozzarella, fat free, shredded
1/2 cup non fat grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp dry italian seasoning
1 pinch black pepper
2 eggs
2 egg whites
1 cooking spray

Directions
1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2 Season zucchini with salt, and let drain in colander 10 minutes. Wash, and dry very well with paper towels.
3 Combine zucchini, onion, garlic, flour, mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Sprinkle with pepper, add eggs and egg whites.
4 Coat a 12-inch pizza pan with cooking spray. Lay zucchini mixture onto pan, and spread to edges. Coat dough with cooking spray and bake 30 to 40 minutes.
