So now she becomes another statistic in their favor because, "see even an 86 yr old can go home next day and do well." Bahhhhhhh

Ya you are right and I can tell you she is someone that is such a young 80 year old that  not many would do as well as she has.  This just is so sad to me that it has come to this.

I made Black Olive Meatloaf today but didn't have any Rye Crisp so decided to put whole red kidney beans in and cut the olives in half so they would be much bigger.  I added an extra egg and it was delicious, we didn't even miss not having bread.

Our Bible study tonight was at a Jewish couples house so for Penticost we had blitzes.  She had made homemade strawberry jam but I passed on that and ate the funny thin egg pancakes filled with a cottage cheese & cream cheese.  Very interesting and didn't want to hurt their feelings but only had the one helping.

B:  Fuji Apple
    Strawberries
L:  Black Olive Meatloaf
    Cottage Cheese
    Cole Slaw
D:  Blitz
    Chicken breast
    Watermelon
    Kiwi
    Strawberriies

Wendy,

I found your Black Olive Meatloaf recipe and printed it out.  I love meat loaf and this variation sounds great.  I, too, love the variety of LDL recipes and try to make a new one once a week.

Which sloppy joe recipe did you use over your scrambled eggs?  Your imaginative ways of fixing foods never ceases to amaze me!

Did you find the Sloppy Joe recipe?  It is under main meals and should be on top.  I ate this over scrambled eggs and it was really good.  Roger mentioned to try making it into patties and eat it like that.  I plan on trying that next time but will have to cook it down more so it would be firmer.

We ran up town and ended up spur of the moment on a trip to the lake to see how high the water has risen with such low run off this year.  Didn't plan for any food so stopped in a store and they had a small bag of white chedder pop corn.

I got so busy this morning forgot about breakfast so ate a quick apple around noon.  This sounds like it will be our last nice day for awhile so we tried to get outside things done today.  Still didn't get the front lawn mowed but hopefully there will be a break in the rain as the week end nears.

I love sour so if you want sweeter then add whatever you use.
I freeze cans of pineapple in two ziploc bags and I take mandarin oranges and drain, rinse & freeze

Citrus Smoothie

1 bag pineapple -I thaw just a little to make it blend easier
1/2 bag mandarin oranges
2 heaping tbs. 100% orange concentrate - optional
Lemon juice - enough to thin
5 to 6 drops coconut flavoring - optional

Let me add that if I want icecream I substitute a frozen banana for the mandarin oranges.  I then fill up 4 coffee cups and put in freezer so I have icecream when ever I want it.  It just takes time to thaw a little bit before eating.

We took a day trip to St Regis and picked up my younger son today so we had to eat out for lunch.  It was a joke trying to eat LDL so it was good we grabbed shrimp from Costco on the way.  I ordered a burger with no bun and they didn't have anything I could eat with it so I took onion rings rather then fries.  The burger pattie was so thin and small that it was like a little piece of rubber with no taste.  The onion rings were fake ones so they were not worth eating.  These 2 small things on my plate cost me almost $7.00.
